How CNC Machining Works

Part Complexity

Wire EDM excels at producing highly detailed components with narrow slots, fine openings, intricate contours, and complex internal geometries. Since there are no cutting forces, delicate features can often be produced without distortion.

CNC machining is better suited for three-dimensional parts that require pockets, contours, holes, threads, and multiple machined surfaces. Many components benefit from a combination of both processes during production.
